This position is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and implementing policies/procedures, personnel, programs and operational aspects of clinical and anatomic pathology both on and off the hospital campus. The primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of high quality fiscally responsible care to patients requiring diagnostic laboratory testing. This position is responsible for ongoing communication within the department in coordination with the Medical Director and for the marketing and implementation of all Pathology Outreach Programs. Education/Experience Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology with a national registry from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and a Masters degree in Business or Health Administration desirable. A minimum of five years hospital experience with an additional 1-2 years hospital or reference laboratory management expenence .
