Performs routine laboratory functions including sample log-in, laboratory cleaning, filing of documents, and glassware washing. Requires excellent data entry and documentation ability. Receive samples into the laboratory, i.e. via LIMS, logbook, etc. Place samples in designated areas and forward documentation to appropriate personnel. Provide input for the revision of laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs). Enter data into computer systems, databases or spreadsheets. Clean laboratory, and glassware, on a routine basis to support laboratory personnel. Prepare written reports, and data summaries, as required by Quality Control management. Provide Administrative Support: Organize, file and maintain document files. Search and retrieve files as required. Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies. Provide necessary Laboratory Customer Service to centers or other departments requesting help.
This position requires proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel. Ability to utilize cGMP practices in documentation and execution of job functions. Ability to be held accountable for following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhering to cGMP and CLIA guidelines. The individual should possess good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work well with others. The individual should be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities. Able to use personal computer for data entry, perform math calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages, understand and follow instructions, record information, find solutions to practical problems or request assistance.
High School diploma. Associates and/or Bachelors degree preferred. Previous experience in a laboratory setting is beneficial.
