The Laboratory Aide/Phlebotomist assumes responsibility for the performance, with good coordination, of phlebotomy and related duties of phlebotomy.
Orientates and attends in-services to maintain uniform quality within the department.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of certified phlebotomy program preferred
Two (2) years hospital experience preferred. Must be able to make quick decisions and work independently.
Good interpersonal skills a must.
Experience with laboratory information system helpful.
Knowledge of the various clinical normal ranges for all age groups required
AMT certificate or Phlebotomy certificate from accredited institution preferred.
