2:30pm - 11pm, with occasional weekend and holiday rotation
The Clinical Supervisor plans, coordinates and supervises under the guidance of the Section Pathologist and direction of the AVP of Laboratory Services; responsible for the effective utilization of available human, technical and material resources in providing timely, quality clinical laboratory test results within the Clinical Laboratories. Maintains competence on all tests/instruments in their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a four year college or university and minimum four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Previous supervisory and financial management experience preferred.
