This position is primarly responsible for supporting the LIMS system within the Quality Control Department. This includes training, system improvement and maintenance. In addition to LIMS administrator responsibilities, this position responsibilities would include, analyzing data trending generated by LIMS for process improvement purposes and general QC process improvement projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexible; good judgment; customer service oriented; excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to work under pressure and have the ability to trouble shoot problems. Must have the ability to follow multiple projects from beginning to completion with limited supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within time constraints. Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets applications. Basic knowledge of Business Object program desired.
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, biological sciences, or related discipline or equivalent experience. Three to five years of experience in information system and / or a laboratory setting related to information system. Basic system administration experience. Work in a regulated environment (FDA, EPA, etc) is preferred, but not required.
