Role: Lab Systems Project Manager, Consultant
The Informatics Group is searching for a consultant for a consulting opportunity in Florida. Client is open to Contract to Hire for the right candidate.
The Manager of Laboratory Systems oversees all activity related to the assessment, planning, implementation, and post-delivery support of all applications and interfaces utilized by Client's Anatomic Pathology, Hematopathology, and Laboratory Medicine departments. The incumbent works closely with key administrative and faculty leaders within these areas as well as IT functional units to ensure high quality solutions delivery and ongoing support.
The Manager of Laboratory Systems supervises the Clinical Systems Analysts responsible for implementation and support of these systems, and provides routine coaching and mentoring for these resources. He/she prioritizes requests and projects in accordance with Client's strategic plan, with clear and well-communicated timetables for completion. The incumbent manages key projects to successful completion, including updates, upgrades, and other Laboratory system activities, and may provide leadership for consulting services associated with these initiatives.
Required skill set is as follows:
This position will have an immediate start date.
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory systems experience
- Significant and successful experience with implementation of laboratory systems in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Cerner Millenium PathNet experience preferred
- Must be able to travel Monday - Thursday to client site in Florida
- This will be 100% on-site.
