The Industrial Services division of Intertek Group is a global end-to-end services provider of technical verification, second party auditing, supplier evaluation, conformity assessment, asset integrity management, consulting and system certification. Specific Responsibilities
  • Operating as a survey team leader.
  • Performing topography, staking, boundary surveys, and control surveys using both conventional and GPS techniques.
  • Providing everyday supervision of assigned survey field crew on quality and survey methodology, and gathering all necessary information needed to meet the survey requirements.
  • Following company policies and procedures and guiding field survey personnel as necessary to meet project schedules, budgets and objectives.
  • Training and assessment of all field survey personnel.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety requirements.
  • Ensuring that assigned survey vehicle is properly maintained.
  • Maintaining a proper inventory of all assigned equipment.
  • Taking accurate and clear notes and maintaining records essential to the project.
  • Performing mathematical calculations and checking of field data.
  • Reading and understanding plans/drawings and specifications.
  • Reconnaissance and review of possible work for providing written feed-back to management for establishing proposal information for clients.
  • Review and comment on client procedures, drawings and tolerance specifications.
  • Coordinating with client representatives and contractors to provide survey services.
  • Establishing various written reports for clients and management.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Experience and Knowledge must include:
  • 12 Years Minimum Survey Experience
  • Previous supervisory and leadership responsibilities within survey crew required.
  • Proficiency with running and adjusting various survey instruments including GPS equipment, levels and total stations with electronic data capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies.
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute all tasks including surveying, field calculations, and preparation of various survey reports.
  • Desire to exceed costumer expectations and learn new skills.
  • Must be strong in written and oral communication skills and well organized.
  • Ability to work long hours and during inclement weather.
  • Must be prepared to travel.
