We have an immediate position open for a H EAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC based out of our landfill near Oklahoma City, OK. In this position you will be working on equipment at our Oklahoma City Landfill.
- Ensures adherence to the corporate safety program and heavy equipment maintenance program
Ensure location is in compliance with all regulatory agencies and statutes.
Responsible for the control of inventory and maintenance of equipment.
Tests equipment to troubleshoot problems and/or tests repairs to ensure proper and safe completion.
Reads and interprets repair orders, communicates with supervisor and/ or operators for clarification of problems. Discusses preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs.
Completes paperwork associated with repairs and preventative maintenance, documents parts usage, and accounts for applied times
Discusses maintenance issues, contracts and warranty work with vendors.
Retrofits older equipment with new equipment.
Provides oversight and responsible for organization of the yard and facilities.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Communicates regularly with the Site Managers regarding work schedules, job assignments, and other shop issues.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- 3+ years experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Experience working on heavy equipment
Proficiency in equipment diagnosis and repair
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
Familiar with Caterpillar diagnostic software.
Ability to use the computer to input data into our maintenance tracking program.
