Job Summary:


Is required to operate equipment such as, but is not limited to: utility vehicles; stringtrimmers; Hand and push blowers; edgers; flymo; spreaders; hand sprayers; weed eaters; and other equipment. Principle duties include: equipment operation; flower bed maintenance; restroom cleaning and light janitorialduties; picking up debris; landscape and clubhouse maintenance tasks such as: weeding; raking; mulching;shoveling and digging; trimming; and other duties as assigned and typically found in landscape maintenanceoperations. The person in this position must be able to get along well with employees, customers, clients andmanagement and represent OSL&G in a positive light. The employee will experience noise/vibrations outside. Job requires employee to perform duties at a company site;working alone and closely with others, in excessive heat & humidity, occasional cold; with exposure to chemicals,solvents, detergents, cleaners, fumes, smoke, gases; will walk on uneven surfaces and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Essential Functions:

Operate various equipment and use hand tools typical to the landscape, horticulture maintenance field.
Basic knowledge of landscape operations practices and equipment.
Perform equipment operation and other maintenance tasks according to established safety practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires the following physical capabilities: standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, working in warm and cold weather, hand/eye coordination, ability to distinguish colors, vision. Must be able to safely operate equipment and use tools typically found in landscape maintenance operations.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

If asked to drive, must possess a valid Class “A” State of Florida Drivers License and have a clean MVR.
Must pass a drug screening test and be eligible to legally work in the United States of America. All positions require passing a police background and criminal record check.
Must be able to work independently and with other co-workers. Must be very self-motivated.
Must have reliable transportation to work.
High School Diploma or GED

1 to 2 years of work experience in a landscape environment
