The Life Sciences Business Unit specializes in expert medical translation services to the life sciences industry which enables clients to develop, release, manage, and maintain their enterprise content and industry products globally and with respect to the local linguistic, technical, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Analyze files received from clients based on client success criteria and define quality plan
Flag potential linguistic issues and raise queries before project start based on Life Sciences and linguistic expertise
Define linguistic strategy on identified projects; including identifying linguistic process steps, creation of specifications, glossary, TM & style guide strategy based on available information as well as reference material
Communicate with customers regarding linguistic queries, processes and quality related topics
Identify resource selection strategy for each account/project including continuous quality tracking
Act as linguistic point of contact for translation expert support and resolve issues on identified projects
Ensure that translation expert related linguistic inquiries on identified projects are resolved and communicated
Perform linguistic QA steps for multilingual projects on identified projects (manage the Linguistic Assurance Process)
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in translation related fields
Knowledge of CAT tools and experience with Translation Memories
Native fluency in a language other than English is required!
Ability to apply subject matter expertise daily and act as a consultant to clients and other team members on linguistic topics
Experience with Life Sciences Regulatory requirements, Clinical Trials and/or Medical would be considered a plus!
High attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to commit to a culture of excellence and interest in continuous improvement
Interest in applying skills to new business opportunities or business fields
Education:
Degree in Linguistics or Translation is highly desirable
