This role coordinates FDIC and Federal Reserve regulatory reporting between Fleet controllership, GE Capital Americas controllership, and regulatory reporting teams. The role is responsible for ensuring business results are properly reflected in regulatory filings and for simplifying business processes to drive greater transparency and more efficient consolidation of data submitted in regulatory filings. The role also has some oversight of journal entry and reconciliation processes.
Timely collection of Regulatory Reporting within area of focus.
. Perform detailed validation work on the data collected and address or escalate further any unexpected results or inconsistencies in data. Validation includes thorough and accurate review of journal entries and account reconciliations completed by third-party providers (Genpact). It also includes ensuring consistency of data between risk, collections, FP&A, and controllership.
. Verify and perform the consolidation of Regulatory Reporting data utilizing provided tools. Communicate results to manager and provide visibility into details of underlying work.
. Drive operational excellence in above areas and offer solutions to further enhance processes. This includes leading controllership simplification initiatives and projects.
. Responsible for preparation and review of monthly and quarterly FDIC and Federal Reserve regulatory reporting schedules.
. Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from regulators and GE Capital Americas controllership teams.
. Apply solid knowledge of Finance concepts and principles to Regulatory Reporting.
. May be responsible for providing direction to other team members.
. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years controllership or financial planning and analysis experience.
. Experience with the closing and reporting process.
. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
. Proficient use of financial systems (e.g. Oracle, Essbase, Hyperion) and Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 5 years of experience
