The Information Security Lead Analyst is a technical expert focused on the modeling and creation of IT risk analytics for the GE Healthcare security operations team. This role focuses on data analytics and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, investigation and creative thinking. This role will work closely with the others in the team, looking at data from multiple dimensions and developing metrics and views that help us determine areas of risk across the enterprise.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide data analysis for understanding and interpreting security information from application and event logs
  • Promote log standards and best practices in order to capture meaningful and operationally actionable information from very large scale log systems
  • Experience developing Splunk apps, complex searches, custom reports for an operations or enterprise security
  • Designs, builds, tests and releases data visualizations, reports and security metrics for enterprise security and operations using Splunk
  • Provide development support and administration for correlation with identity and risk intelligence platforms
  • Member of larger project teams, leader of small projects focused on the health, monitoring and upgrade of the Splunk environment
  • Provides troubleshooting and maintenance on procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of all information systems assets

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience WITH Minimum 6 months of experience with Splunk

  • Experience managing and enforcing security policies
  • Experience in one or more security technology areas (firewall, IDS, IPS, Log Analysis, Vulnerability Management, etc.)
  • Prior experience as a project team member and having led small projects
  • Demonstrated coordination efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery and history resolving conflicts in priority
  • Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Analytic, creative and technical problem solver
  • Familiarity with scripting, writing regular expressions and custom file parsers
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and query development
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Experience in Java development environment
  • UNIX and Windows system knowledge
  • Good technical writing skills for documentation of procedures and designs
  • Familiarity and knowledge of IT networks / firewalls / mailguards, and antivirus solutions
  • Security logs and log solutions
  • SIEM Technologies (Splunk, RSAM)
  • DLP solutions (Digital Guardian, McAfee)
  • Security Data warehousing
  • IAM solutions
  • Green Belt certified
  • GE Leadership Training Program Experience (IMLP, OMLP, FMP)
  • Vendor / Professional certification (Cisco, SANS, etc.)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Lean experience
  • PMP / ITIL certified
