Performs a variety of duties, methods, and procedures associated with the direct compensation administration function of the TTUHSC Human Resources (HR) office. Duties include analyzing, processing and making recommendations on reclassifications, new positions, merit increases, promotion requests, salary adjustments, and processes in the HR information system. Other duties include analyzing and approving Electronic Personnel Action Forms (E-PAFs), creating and revising job descriptions, tracking temporary positions, participating in salary surveys, serving as primary contact for regional campuses on wage and salary administration issues.
Review/approve of Personnel Action Forms (E-PAFs).
Review requests for position reclassification.
Review requests for new positions.
Respond to regional campus directors and administrators on wage and salary questions and
requests for information and advice on salary issues.
Compose and produce compensation related correspondence.
Track all temporary positions.
Conduct job audits to acquire additional information on reclassification, new position requests, etc.
Assist in conducting salary surveys requested by departments and outside sources.
Serve as backup for the Wage and Salary Manager and Analyst II in the section.
Participate in salary surveys.
Set up new job titles via HRIS system.
Create appropriate job descriptions / job documentation.
Special compensation projects as assigned.
Analyze and process Employee One-time Payment Systems ( EOPS ) paperwork in absence of Analyst II.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area.
Four years progressively responsible HR related experience, of which two are in direct compensation administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
College – level coursework in human resources preferred.
Certification as a Professional in Human Resources ( PHR ), Senior Professional in Human Resources ( SPHR ), or Certified Compensation Professional ( CCP ).
