Parsons is mobilizing for a national facilities program on a multi-year contract. Our scope of work consists of managing the design and construction of multiple facilities nationwide. We will be assessing existing facilities and making recommendations for inclusion in the budget. We will also be managing the real estate portfolio and providing control to the program. As part of our team, you will be helping the client manage and improve its national building portfolio in a cost effective manner.
We are seeking a Lead Architect to manage the architectural disciplines assigned to all project life-cycle phases – from planning and programming through occupancy. The selected candidate will manage and review the deliverables of the architects assessing properties for code compliance and/or physical or program deficiencies that would require capital expenditures. Additionally, you will interact and coordinate projects with design, construction, planning, real estate, and other related discipline leads. You will be asked to review data collection, regulatory agency compliance documentation, project cost estimates, as well as statements of work. You may also lead architectural related discussions in design and construction meetings. We anticipate 40% domestic travel will be required. This position is based in Arlington, VA. Please note that relocation assistance is not available at this time, so local candidates are strongly preferred.
5+ years of related architectural experience with project direction and management responsibilities on multi-use buildings, facilities, or campus assessment projects
Track record of assessing facilities and making recommendations for capital improvement programs
Proficient in reviewing designs and construction plans to assure they meet codes, budgets, and schedules
Proven ability to lead architectural discipline associated with national program.
Licensed Architect, AIA
Certified building code official per International Building Code requirements
Bachelors degree in Architecture
