Talascend is currently seeking a Lead Climatic Wind Tunnel Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Warren, Michigan.
This is a second shift Climatic Wind Tunnel Engineering Support Lead with hours 3:30pm to midnight. The lead engineer will oversee HVAC/PTC Climatic Wind Tunnel testing, 2nd shift Test Schedule, Facility Start-up and shut-down, Engineer Lead and support for test vehicle instrumentations. The candidate will oversee and provided direction for CWT Tunnel facility, and electronic techs doing maintenance, repair, and calibrations of Main Fan, Climate control systems, Solar System, and Dynamometers.
The engineer trains, develops and evaluates employees along with develops and coordinates timing of product design programs/proposals. They will provide technical support for solving assembly plant problems and conduct engineering activities for VDP all phases of vehicle programs.
Duties include initiate and evaluate cost studies, coordinate with vendors and/or customers, write technical reports and proposals, and reviews legislative and regulatory proposals or actions to determine impact on projects. The lead engineer should be recognized as an expert in field of work.
The lead engineer should have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably BSME, BSEE, BS Aero or equivalent, with extensive experience in Climatic Wind Tunnel Testing and Operations.
