The Lead Decision Science Analyst position provides project specific leadership in building targeting solutions that integrate effectively into existing systems and processes while delivering strong and consistent performance with the focus on the Barclaycard US portfolio. Working with Decision Science Managers, the Lead Decision Science Analyst role provides expertise in project design, predictive model development, validation, monitoring, tracking, implementation and/or specification.
Develop predictive models, statistical analyses, optimization procedures, monitoring processes, data quality analyses, and score implementations. (40%)
Participate in overall project design and delivery with Decision Science's other functional teams and end-clients. (10%)
Validate, track, and monitor delivered projects. (20%)
Produce robust documentation to ensure replicability of results and fulfill Barclays governance requirements. (15%)
Work constructively with other Barclays resources to deliver projects.(5%)
Work with other DS staff to ensure project completion within agreed time frames and end-client satisfaction. (5%)
Contribute to the broader Decision Science department through participation in peer reviews, terms of reference reviews, modelling forums, and ad hoc project collaboration. (5%)
Graduate level degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in a quantitative discipline required (ex. Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering).
3+ years analytical work experience in a financial services company strongly preferred.
Proficiency with analytical software (e.g., SAS), SQL tools (e.g., Oracle), Unix platforms, and MS Office required.
Strong analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to process large datasets into meaningful information.
Strong communication skills & ability to work independently.
Project management skills.
