Current opportunities are for a Lead Estimator in our Bangor, ME District office. The Estimator will be responsible for managing, estimating, and bidding in the surrounding area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Quantify project components
Visit project to understand site conditions/restrictions
Work with the estimating team bidding the project to build the estimate, then price assigned items in HCSS
Work on a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications
Lead the team to close the estimate
Research historical costs
Generate preliminary project schedules based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Primavera P6
HCSS experience strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years experience as an Estimator using Agtek, Insight or Paydirt Software
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum 7 years experience in Earthwork, Structures, and Paving
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
