We would like to announce a recent opening in our Pittsburgh Area Office. We are currently seeking a Lead Estimator in Pittsburgh, reporting to the Plant Manager. The Estimator will be responsible for managing, estimating and bidding in the Pittsburgh Area in coordination with the District Manager. This person will begin working as soon as arrangements can be made.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Quantify project components assigned by the lead estimator
Visit project to understand site conditions/restrictions
Work with the estimating team bidding the project to build the estimate, then price assigned items in HCSS
Work on a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Primavera P6 or Primavera Contractor software
Work with the team to close the estimate

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the heavy civil arena
JDEdwards experience is preferred
Experience in all aspects of heavy/highway work preferred
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
