Our Jessup, MD Service Center is currently seeking self-motivated, energetic and team oriented individuals to work in our manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities include performing and leading the work flow required to complete the physical tasks to prep parts, complete assembly of doors and frames, operate machinery necessary for fabrication, and other duties as needed. The Lead Fabrication Operator must be able to work first shift (7:00 AM-4:30 PM) and be able to work overtime as needed.
Specific Duties:
Receiving, handling and packaging aluminum lengths 20’ –25’
Handling and packaging of Architectural doors and frames
Sorting and storage of inventory
Order pulling, packaging and labeling for shipping
Assisting with sub assembly and fabrication
Cleaning and organizing of the warehouse
Assisting with maintenance of equipment
Punching door rails and stiles
Punching frame jambs and headers
Prepping parts
Assembling doors
Welding Doors
Packing and lifting doors and frames
Stocking Hardware room
Pulling metal
Operate end mill machine, pneumatic tools to include drill & press
Operate CNC machine
Lead work flow through all aspects of the production process
Assist Fabricators with questions and problems on production
Qualifications:
Good written and good verbal communication skills
Need to have excellent attendance
Min. 2 years experience in storefront fabrication
Ability to successfully interact well with fellow employees and management
Ability to handle several tasks at once and prioritize
Ability to stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day
Ability to lift fifty pounds multiple times throughout the day, everyday
Ability to squat, bend, twist and turn multiple times throughout the day, everyday
Ability to load, unload, push and pull metal extrusions throughout the day, everyday
Ability to look downward throughout the day, everyday
Ability to safely operate machinery necessary for the production of doors and frames
Prior Forklift Certification a plus but not required
Employment is contingent on passing a background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screen.
