ROLE STATEMENT: The Fracturing (Frac) Engineer will be a member of the Technical Services department and provide a diverse range of technical, sales, and operational support to Calfrac’s key clients. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Divisional Services, the Fracturing Engineer will focus on supporting all other Calfrac technical representatives and key clients.

•Provide effective communication with management regarding continuous improvement initiatives
•Able to participate in the development of policies and procedures to meet service requirements
•Work with all groups, i.e. Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources, etc. to ensure smooth business operations
•Manage assignments to meet client requirements and to achieve the corporate mandate of “Service First”
•Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives
•Provide leadership/mentorship and direction to members of the Technical Services department to meet the Corporate Code of Business Ethics
•Provide technical support to Calfrac’s key clients
•Represent Calfrac at client meetings and be available to clients
•Prepare client specific reports and/or presentations
•Assist in bid preparation
•Administrate all other Calfrac technical representatives working with the client
•Prepare fracture treatment designs
•Perform fracture simulations and mini-frac analysis
•Make relevant suggestions during treatments to improve treatment success to the client
•Prepare and evaluate post job reports, design look backs, and basin studies
•Understand fluid system technology
•Act as a go-between for the client and the Calfrac labs
•Travel to the field for on-site technical support when required
•Perform lab & QC procedures when required
•Identify and document product performance (positives & negatives)
•Provide support for Completion Enhancement Engineers and District representatives

Technical Competencies:
•Comfortable with the creation of business process and improvement initiatives
•Comfortable with business analysis, change management, and project management, with the ability to identify/define gaps, risks and requirements and produce supporting documentation
•Ability to generate reports with a high attention to detail
•Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
