Our client is a multi-strategy global asset manager and registered investment advisor that manages a global macro hedge fund, a fund-of-funds and a portfolio of venture capital and private equity investments. Our headquarters is in the Presidio in San Francisco.

The position is uniquely suited to highly organized individuals with a wide breadth of IT knowledge and the ability to work with all levels of technical competency.

Technical skills:
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of hardware maintenance and support
  • 5+ years supporting Windows servers in Active Directory environment.
  • 5+ years experience supporting the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with VMware vSphere. Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix Xenserver a plus
  • Experience with Commvault, VEEAM, or other similar backup solutions
  • Disaster recovery planning or implementation across multiple sites
  • Experience with remote support software
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies
  • Experience with mobile device management, primarily EAS and BES
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an advanced attention to detail
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Citrix or other VDI experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and other financial platforms a plus but not required
  • Following certifications a plus: CISSP, CCNA, MCSE/A, VCP
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Mac OS computers as well as Blackberry and iOS devices

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Understand the ability levels of coworkers
  • Server and general infrastructure maintenance
  • Availability to work in shifts and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Manage phone/device systems and synchronization as well as VPN solutions
  • Advanced desktop support
  • Provide phone support for users in the field
  • Be security conscious and understand how to support an encrypted environment
  • Perform and manage nightly backups and user device backups
