Apothecary Products, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Lead Inside Sales Representative to join our Insides Sales Team in Burnsville, MN. The Lead Inside Sales Representative will work cooperatively with other employees and departments to grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales expectations while increasing customer satisfaction. This individual will generate additional revenue for the company through upselling/outbound calling/cold calling and answering inbound customer inquiries via phone, fax, and web. In addition to selling s/he will be available the sales staff for assistance and direction, help train new hires and help motivate sales staff.

Most individuals have our products in their home medicine cabinet, and may not even realize it came from our company because we do a great deal of private-label packaging. Because we are constantly developing a multitude of new and successful products, we continue to achieve growth and stability as a company. Specific duties include:
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items. Generate sales through outbound campaigns and cold calling, answering incoming phone/fax/web customer inquiries, and transferring calls to appropriate people. Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
Entering customer orders into SOP.
Documenting accurate customer history and follow up notes in Clientele
Assist Sales Staff: Answer questions, and give direction. Maintain knowledge of customer base, keep and maintain records pertaining to customers’ needs and specific profiles.
Assist in new hire training, by ways of computer skills, processes and mentoring.
The Lead Inside Sales Representative should possess the following skills :
- Results-oriented, self-starter individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment, and able to assist a staff of customer service, sales and order entry representatives.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, to be able to communicate effectively with customers on a daily basis and manage a variety of requests.
- A history of being able to handle sensitive customer situations with tact and courtesy (i.e. complaints, errors, and special requests).
- Proficiency with standard office computer applications such as MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- 3-5 years of customer service and sales experience, and high school diploma required.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
The Lead Inside Sales Representative must be able to communicate clearly. S/he should be able to demonstrate a pleasant demeanor and personal confidence as s/he is responsible for responding to consumer needs and wants through planned, personalized communication, with the goal to influence purchase decisions and ensure satisfaction. Representative must have the drive to present multiple types of products and services to customers, with the ability to handle rejection while maintaining a positive, motivational attitude at all times. S/he will play a key role in coaching, developing and motivating other sales representatives, helping with goal awareness and maintaining a selling focus in the center.
Salary will be based on experience but will be structured as a Base pay plus Commission.
