Job Title: Lead Operator, Packaging Operations

Job Family: Packaging Operations

Track/Level: O4

Packaging Operations — Packaging Operations is responsible for visually inspecting manufactured units for defects and may be required to pack and label product. Maintains assigned packing station by ensuring that molded components are visually inspected prior to packing according to the customer's specifications. May monitor quality, quantity and perform packaging of all production from molding machines in assigned areas. May operate an assigned Automated Assembly machine and perform assembly line tasks to mass produce small plastic products or perform the final pack operation to case, pack, and label.

Responsibilities:
Conforms to Good Manufacturing Practices, EN 13485 standards and complies with all Department Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to supervise the packaging of finished product from the machine center through final pack-out.
Applies experience to complete assignments and facilitate the work activities of others; may provide technical guidance and training to others.
Is multi-skilled in a number of activities within an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
Has advanced and special skills and techniques in more than one skill area / process / method
Maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed
Applies experience to complete assignments and facilitate the work activities of others; may provide technical guidance and training to others
Typically has team leader responsibilities; does not supervise
May coordinate work beyond own area
Proposes improvements to processes and may be responsible for quality execution of a process or analysis

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
5 years related work experience and/or training required
