Lead Process Design Engineer--Offshore

Our client needs one hire for this position immediately and one later this year/early 2014.

Report to Team Manager, Offshore Engineering
Position profile The position will be aimed to develop basic process design and detail design for Offshore projects such as platform, FPSO etc.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities for OFFSHORE process lead engineer:

--Apply basic chemical engineering principles and common sense to deliver a proper design.
--Review and conduct of ENGINEERING tasks as below, however not limited to:
• Review and comment of ITB with both the code & specification and the offshore rule & regulation.
• Basis of Design
• Process Simulations
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Heat and Material Balance
• Utility Balance
• Equipment List
• P&ID and FEED design.
• Performance of Technical Verification and Clarification
• Equipment Sizing and Calculations
• Equipment/Instrument Datasheets
• Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
• Material Selection
Cause & Effect Diagram
• HAZOP/HAZID/SIL participation and follow up
• Safe Charts
• Alarm and Trip Settings
• Line List
• Relief and Blowdown Study
• HP / LP Interface Study
• Vendor Data Review
• Coordination and input to other disciplines
• Other various process studies and reports.
Review and comment of Knowledge and Application of Rule & Regulation and Primary Standard
Review and comment of Utility Design
Review and comment of Hydraulics study
Review and comment of PSV sizing & flare design
Review and comment of Interlock Logic
Review and comment of Summaries (utility/effluent/flare/line)
Review and comment of Operation manual
Review and comment of Escape route
Secondary Task
(Networking, training, consulting, etc) Also, the offshore process lead engineer shall coordinate and CONSULT of engineering issues of the projects, if required, as below.
Is expected to work independently and be the technical leader within the department.
Reports to the Discipline Group Manager and to the Engineering Project Manager for the project he is assigned to.
Is responsible for the efficient, proper and timely completion of the assigned engineering packages for the project.
Is responsible for selection of methods and procedures and optimization of the design and materials within the scope of the project specifications.
Must develop a process discipline specific scope of work prior to the start of the project and use this to provide input into the project schedule.
Must then execute the scope of work in accordance with the detailed project schedule. Where applicable priorities need to be coordinated with the Engineering Project Manager.
Must coordinate manpower requirements with the Discipline Group Manager.
Ensures available man-power is adequate for finishing the project scope in accordance with the project schedule.
Education Bachelors in Engineering or the equivalent Technical degree required
Experience Minimum 15 years in Offshore/Onshore process design (having worked on a minimum of 3 Offshore projects)
Working experience with FPSO, LNG-FSRU and platform of offshore projects
Skills & Capability:
Able to enhance the Design of Offshore Process (Fixed Platform, FPSO, LNG-FSRU etc.)
Proficient with Hysys Software
Will be able to provide assistance or supervise for the completion of technical documentation.
Excellent presentation skill to explain and resolve effectively on technical issue to Client.
Will be adept at working collaborating and proactively sharing information and expertise with colleagues.
Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments.
Will be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Qualified candidates must have no restrictions on travelling or working abroad
