Enterprise Business Services (EBS) has an open position for a Lead Project Manager. The Lead Project Manager plans, organizes and executes strategic, large cross functional projects. Working with multiple Business Units, this person will actively manage the execution of projects including assembling the project team, developing and maintaining the project schedule, assigning tasks and providing leadership/monitoring of all project activities. This person must have comprehensive abilities in leading their program/project through complex issues, ambiguity, and scope changes; driving the team to clarity and making effective decisions.
The Lead Project Manager possesses broad project management knowledge and the ability to blend the "science" of project management with the "art" of leadership for successful program/project outcomes. They have demonstrated through previous work experience the ability to guide and influence at multiple levels of the organization through highly effective communication, understanding stakeholder needs, establishing objectives, and recommending approaches/solutions.
This person is responsible for facilitating timely and complete resolution of project issues, risks, and decisions to meet all project deadlines. They should have working industry knowledge and are expected to become knowledgeable about specific business and functional areas in which they work. This includes the ability to articulate the "why" behind issues and proactively facilitate decision making processes. The ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge across situations is critical.
This person will act as a thought leader recommending improvements to, program and project management process and procedures to ensure high quality, efficient project delivery. They should possess proven analytical skills for complex problem solving.
Candidates should have proven project communication, leadership, planning, organizational change and interpersonal skills. Candidates must also have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects and mentor/coach less-experienced project managers. A bachelor's degree in business or technology related field or equivalent work experience is required. Minimum eight years of project management experience and project management certification is preferred. Candidates should be well versed in multiple project management and software development methodologies and proficient in the use of project management software. A proven track record in a shared services workplace as well as formal process improvement methodology is preferred.
