Job ID: 15553 Job Description Our Client is looking for a Lead QA Analyst to join their team. In this role you will be responsible to develop, execute and evolve the quality assurance infrastructure for verifying, measuring, and improving software and site development at each phase of the analysis, design and development software and site life cycle. You will be establishing, implementing and overseeing quality control processes, methodologies and documentation; testing and verifying site code and content against site standards, specifications and test plans; establishing development and test measurements; and improving overall product QA processes. As a QA Lead you will be working on the project leadership level. Job Responsibilities
Serve as the quality assurance lead on new product development projects. Develop and evaluate a Master Test Plan to be used for all development projects. Define test methodologies and strategies for each phase of the life cycle. Implement and manage test plans and scripts in both stage and live environments
Verify that site applications and content agree with product specifications, system specifications, and site standards. Troubleshoot user reported difficulties with our sites and other forms of delivery. Perform extensive site functionality testing and data integrity verification to ensure user satisfaction
Develop and maintain a large set of test environments to ensure testing coverage across a wide variety of different browsers and operating systems as specified by our site standards
Ensure timely delivery of high quality software. Test all web pages, links and navigation flows. Establish and implement performance standards and benchmark measures, working with traffic analysis tools, advertising reporting systems, data warehousing technology and other tools as appropriate
Test non-UI programs that import and export data from site databases
Generate test data to be used in tests
Evaluate, configure, generate program scripts for, and run testing tools that will automate the testing and validation of site content and features
Conduct performance testing of sites and components working with site traffic and other load generation tools. Ensure that site performance meets site and feature requirements
Participate in product team planning meetings to provide feedback on testability of proposed features. Participate in development of feature acceptance criteria and test plans. Coordinate testing schedules with content and feature development teams. Proactively work with producers to develop acceptable means of communicating feature and content testing requirements and specifications
Work with internal customers to develop reports and other mechanisms that provide insight into the specific outstanding reported defects as well as trends and patterns in defects found. Work with product and content development teams to drive for process and tools improvements that will eliminate recurring sources of code and content defects
Participate in development of site technical and usability standards
Identify opportunities for product development process improvements. Develop process improvement plans, gain stakeholder buy in, and implement improvements. Select effective tools to support quality assurance plans including automated testing tools
Keep abreast of quality assurance trends and opportunities, and develop and maintain industry-related contacts. Maintain communication and exchange of information concerning new and existing quality assurance procedures
Compile, maintain and distribute user feedback reports, site-satisfaction and site-improvement surveys, and other polls. Participate in industry events as assigned. Other functions as required
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in computer science, programming or equivalent technical area
4+ years of quality assurance experience in web and/or mobile application environment, preferably on a team leader level
2 years of increasingly responsible experience testing and validating products within cross-functional product teams
2 years of experience establishing performance standards and benchmark measurements
2 years of experience developing and executing test plans
2+ years of project management/leadership experience
Experience with HTML and CSS
PC and Macintosh platform proficiency
Good working knowledge of computer and mobile device operating systems required
Authoring tool experience (JavaScript, Perl, Flash etc.) preferred
Documentation skills required, including documentation of test plans
Process improvement experience preferred
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills required
Strong attention to details, keeping the big picture in mind
