The Sales Development Representative is responsible for qualifying leads generated from direct and indirect marketing campaigns. Managing this stage of the sales process involves managing a CRM, calling and email follow-ups. A technical background is not required. As a member of this team you will use your new business development experience, sales skills, energy, resourcefulness and enthusiasm to:
Aggressively qualify prospect inquiries over the phone and through e-mail regarding interest in Qualys’s offering,
Maintain close relationships and communication with the assigned Regional and Inside Sales Executives to ensure their joint pipeline and territory are aligned and are on target for meeting quarterly goals
Managing integrity of our CRM.
Follow up on and qualify all inbound inquiries generated by marketing or otherwise.
The key to success in this role will be mastering how to identify and properly categorize high, medium and low value leads/accounts and document these properly and follow-up accordingly. The ability to interact with various levels of information technology professionals is essential. This will be accomplished by listening to the needs of the prospect and conveying our products and the intrinsic value during the development process. This role is a technology-based presales role that requires the desire and initiative to understand new technologies in a rapidly expanding industry.

BA/BS Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of business related experience.
Track record of consistently meeting call volume requirements.
Hands-on experience utilizing a CRM system to manage leads, contacts, and accounts.
Must be a positive high energy team player who is self-motivated.
Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills.
Exceptional verbal communication and objection handling skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong computer and Internet skills with high aptitude for learning new technologies.
Network security background a plus. SaaS background a plus.
