Minimum Requirements:
Must have a bachelor of science degree in engineering, mathematics, science or a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering. Must be a registered or certified quality auditor from a State or Federal agency - with a minimum of 10 years of design and construction quality assurance and auditing experience, and preferably be certified by the American Society for Quality as a Quality Auditor. Design-build and rail transit experience and must have experience on large design and construction programs valued at $500 million to $1 billion.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Job Description:
Successful candidate will act as a lead quality assurance auditor and be part of an engineering and construction management team to augment the LAMTA staff with resources that will oversee and audit the design build contractor for a $1 billion extension of the Expo Phase 2 LRT System from Culver City to Santa Monica in the Los Angeles area. The QA Manager will be responsible for reviewing and implementing the Quality Audit Program within the framework of the contractor’s overall quality management system. After the contractor’s QA Plan is approved, the Lead Quality Assurance Auditor will provide surveillance and quality audits of the design and construction activities and work with the design build contractor to identify quality issues and resolve these issues in a cooperative team atmosphere. The Lead Quality Assurance Auditor will work with the audit inspection team and materials sampling and testing staff to develop quality standards and monitor these services to make sure the quality standards are being met.
The Lead Quality Assurance Auditor will provide leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on the Expo LRT Phase program and/or specific areas within the limits of the project to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with both client and company quality requirements.
