The lead researcher gathers product requirements, analyzes research data and applies this data to the design process.

  • Leading and mentoring team members and projects
  • Conducting requirements gathering tasks such as stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, user interviews, workshops, and other methods
  • Conducting competitive and heuristic usability assessments
  • Conducting usability tests, including eyetracking tests, in labs or at client sites
  • Analyzing data, creating reports, and delivering findings to our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Overseeing other researchers in their research
  • Ability to travel to client sites
  • Setting standards for research team
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in design research, including user research and testing
  • Meaningful experience working in a consulting environment
  • Strong leadership and strategic skills to guide clients and mentor team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently across disciplines on multiple projects
  • Passion for user experience and an advocate for the user
Education Masters or a Doctorate (or equivalent experience) in Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Communication, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, or related field preferred
