RJMetrics is looking for an exceptional engineer to work with our growing data team as we pursue complex infrastructure problems.

Our customers stream us terabytes of data about all facets of their business - from inventory in their warehouse to mouse clicks on their website. We provide a central location for this data to be aggregated, transformed and analyzed, all of which needs to happen in real time. We are constantly improving our data analysis platform to be bigger and faster, and we need brilliant software engineers to help design and execute this evolution.

You will work with a small team to plan, build, and integrate the software underlying our data analysis platform. You will interface with our systems team to ensure we can efficiently scale our hardware infrastructure as the platform grows. You will measure and analyze performance and be held responsible for improving these metrics. You hold yourself to a high standard, and when problems arise you will ensure that they do not recur.

  • Bachelor ’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience working with large data sets and stores
  • Strong understanding of scaling, performance, and scheduling
  • Experience writing production code in any language
  • Experience building large-scale production software systems, especially in the realm of data analysis is a plus
This is a full time position located on site.
