Individual will be responsible for:
Install, repair & rework strain gages on flight test aircraft and aircraft components.

Direct and supervise strain gage installations performed by other Instrumentation Technicians.

Develop and manage updates to Strain Gage Standard Work Documentation, present to Instrumentation Lab (DFC & Stratford) Managers for approval.

Develop and manage the Instrumentation Strain Gage training & certification program.

Plan strain gage equipment and training needs including lab hardware and computer systems and fabricate additional units or devices as required.

Perform yearly assessments of strain gage technologies industry wide.

Mentor, coach, and/or act as a team leader for other employees.

Assignment of team members performing strain gage tasks according to skill levels and capabilities.

Use of judgment in establishing schedules and priorities in conducting instrumentation in the lab and on aircraft.

Assure the general cleanliness of all utilized equipment and assigned areas, insuring all F.O.D. controls are implemented.

Perform Electrical Instrumentation technician assignments as defined by wiring diagrams and electrical schematics/drawings, with limited or no guidance including; building instrumentation hardware, harnesses, installing and performing maintenance of instrumentation systems on test aircraft.

Review and analyze a variety of engineering data and procedures to determine job requirements for meeting specified goals.

Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering required.

Bachelors Degree in an Electronics or Electrical field is preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of experience performing detailed stain gage assignments.

Formally trained/certified in strain gage installation/removal techniques.

Formally trained or certified in micro-soldering techniques.

Minimum of 8 years of experience performing detailed stain gage assignments.

Work experience in instrumentation fabrication and installation. Prefer individuals with intimate knowledge of and experience with aircraft instrumentation installations including pressure transducers, strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers, slip rings, and other transducers. Must be able to perform detail harness wiring from wiring diagrams/schematics. Must have experience with and be able to use a variety of electronic lab tools (i.e., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

Up to 30% travel is required.

Position is located in West Palm Beach, FL.

Position requires ability to work extended hours to meet business goals and objectives
