This technical leadership role involves building a team to define, justify, plan, execute and maintain an advanced server system validation environment working across sites and functional teams that include SoC design, integration, pre-silicon verification, hardware and software architecture, and product engineering.
Technically lead a team with the following capability:
System-Level Requirements Validation:
? Correlation of pre- and post- silicon behavior ? Pre- and post-silicon power-performance across relevant workloads and benchmarks
? Optimizing HW and SW interaction at the system level
SoC Validation and Integration:
? Develop test plan and test methodology based on product requirements and design specifications
? Develop, design, and code embedded real-time software to perform validation tasks in pre- and post-silicon stages
? Validate processor subsystems utilizing internal and customer designs
? Debug and establish internal and external system issues utilizing existing or newly defined processes and test equipment
Applicants should have 15+ years of industry experience in system integration, validation and troubleshooting including hands-on lab debug (direct experience with HW emulation a plus). Person should have strong experience working with hardware under development and knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded software development. Applicants should also have significant experience with the following:
Required Knowledge/Experience: ? ARM architecture (preferred) and debug or equivalent ? Unix kernel architecture and debug
? Assembly language programming skills
? Remote attached low level trace and debug tools? Diagnostic equipment such as ICE, Logic Analyzers, etc.
? High-speed bus protocol and debug
? Power/ Performance sub-system and system modeling, analysis, validation, and FPGA based emulation (direct Palladium experience a plus)
? Pre-Si verification tools and methodology understanding ? Perl programming ? Strong organizational skills ? Excellent verbal and formal communication skills
Preferred Additional Knowledge/Experience: ? Working knowledge of Verilog (preferred) or VHDL ? Direct experience with pre-Si environment development (e.g. System Verilog)
Required: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering
Preferred: Master's in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
