OVERVIEW:
The Lead Systems Engineer will establish and conduct the testing on our complete system to ensure that all software is functioning appropriately. This role will work with the Production, Hardware Engineering and Software Engineering teams to ensure that all QA testing is complete for release of product to Production.

The intent of this role is initially to be key contributor and build the validation team eventually becoming the team leader / manager.

FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to):
Conduct validation testing on all software components stand alone and in integrated systems.
Lead and develop the testing systems and procedures for the Software Engineering Team.
Software QA through automated and manual testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience with automated testing.
Experience writing individual as well as full system test plans
Experience in all types of testing, e.g. Acceptance, Validation, Regression, etc.
Experience in various QA methodologies.
Must have experience leading small teams.
Digital Imaging experience helpful.
Excellent verbal/written communications skill.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Must be experienced installing and setting up Windows and Linux/Solaris/UNIX environments.
Must have experience building network systems
Experience building clusters a plus
Proficient with Windows 7 & Linux/Solaris/UNIX

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires extensive computer use and physical movement
General office & warehouse environment;
Moderate levels of stress may occur.

DECISION MAKING:
This position has limited decision-making authority.
