KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory schools dedicated to preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. There are currently 141 KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia serving more than 50,000 students. Today, KIPP Massachusetts serves over 800 students in our three schools in Boston and Lynn and over 200 alumni in our KIPP Through College Program which supports students on their journey “to and through college.” In 2014, KIPP: MA will open our first elementary school in Boston and will expand all three of our existing schools to serve more students. By 2020 we plan to serve over 2,500 students in six schools in Lynn and Boston, MA.

KIPP: MA is looking for teachers who combine the ability to motivate and educate, who develop academic as well as character skills, and who are committed to doing whatever it takes to create life-long transformative outcomes for students.


KIPP Academy Lynn Middle School (Lynn, MA) : founded in 2004, currently serves grades 5-8
KIPP Academy Lynn Middle School currently serves 424 students in grades 5-8 is expanding to serve more students in each grade. We are looking for teachers in all subject areas for the 2014-15 school year:
o English/Language Arts
o Math o
o Social Studies
o Special Education

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate High School (Lynn, MA) : founded in 2011, will serve grades 9-12 in 2014-15
KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate is growing to serve 12 th grade students next year and is increasing the number of students served in grades 9-11. We are looking for teachers in the following subject areas for the 2014-15 school year:
o English (9-12, grade level flexible)
o Environmental Science
o Biology
o History (Government or Econ preferred)
o Math (Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II)
o AP Calculus
o AP Statistics
o Music or Band
o Physical Education
o Special Education
o ELL Specialist
o Technology

KIPP Academy Boston Middle School (Boston, MA) : founded in 2012, will serve grades 5-7 in 2014-15
KIPP Academy Boston is growing to serve 7 th grade students in the 2014-15 school year. When it is full grown in 2015-16, KIPP Academy Boston will serve students in grades 5-8. We are looking for teachers in the following subject areas for the 2014-15 school year : o
English/Language Arts
o Writing
o Social Studies
o Math o
o Special Education
o Music, Art, Dance, or Theatre
o Physical Education
o Social Emotional Counselor

KIPP Academy Boston Elementary School (Boston, MA) : founded in 2014, will serve grade K in 2014-15
KIPP Academy Boston Elementary School will open its doors in August to a founding class of 72 Kindergarten students. When it is fully grown in 2018-19, KIPP Academy Boston Elementary will serve students in grades K-4. For the 2014-15 school year we are looking for:
o Kindergarten Lead Teacher
o Art Teacher
o Music and Movement Teacher
o Physical Education Teacher
o Special Education Teacher
o ELL Specialist

Constantly assessing student progress, and communicating results to families and colleagues
Providing individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance
Qualified candidates have:
A belief in the mission and values of KIPP
Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of traditionally under-served students (preferred)
At least two years of teaching experience strongly preferred

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
