General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Advanced Technology Support Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems. Will be responsible for the overall maintenance support of a large ground based SIGINT collection system. Coordinates with three field support engineers providing all operations and maintenance support for multiple electronic collection sites in South Korea. Maintains effective customer coordination, communications and relations. Provides onsite training of customer support personnel. Provides both system RF/electronics/computing hardware equipment support at remote sites and has familiarity with system software administrative and IT type support at remote sites and at a central facility. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment, systems and/or software malfunctions to eliminate or accurately report problem to US based depot. Requires full time overseas support in a location near Seoul, South Korea.
The Senior Advanced Technology Support Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent, and eight to ten years of related experience; or a masters degree with six to eight years of related experience.
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Candidate requires experience with SIGINT ground based collection equipment experience, RF transmission/ propagation equipment. Workstations, server class computers, switches / routers.
Familiar with computer OS (Windows Server 2008/Windows 7), computer networking and LANs, databases (Microsoft SQL server 2008/2012), C#, MS Visual Studio. Working knowledge of Linux a plus.
Able to speak Korean.
