The Lead Technical Advisor will provide expertise in an advisory capacity for the service team. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role, you will:

Essential Responsibilities
  • Own the GE Interval Maintenance program at various locations around the BNSF rail system
  • Develop plan for interval maintenance and flow process for the site
  • Support fleet management team in development of interval maintenance workscope
  • Train craft of GE procedures including locomotive products and e-services
  • Assure adherence to workscopes, including compliance audits and corrective action
  • Provide problem tracking, trending, resolution and reporting
  • Troubleshoot locomotives
  • Track, certify, and maintain tooling
  • Work in advisory capacity with all levels of railroad personnel on repair processes and issue resolution

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in information technology, customer service or project support)

    Desired Characteristics
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Locomotive experience - Dash 8, Dash 9, and AC D
  • Hands-on, field experience, willing to work various shifts with varying rest days
  • Maintenance / Manufacturing background
  • Demonstrated CI and teaming ability, Black Belt or Green Belt certification
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
