Defines the rigging and production techniques used by artists/animators to ensure the teams have all of the relevant tools and workflows they need to operate at peak efficiency. Works with the art/animation leads on an optimal CG look, and ensures that all art content in the game is being built to withstand performance and memory requirements.

Responsibilities:
Designs and supervises the creation of rigging, game pipelines and workflows, working in conjunction with engineers and art leads
Works with the Game Director and Art Director to ensure that visual quality is not being compromised by technical constraints
Regularly audits and streamlines all art production methods (Including Level Art, Modeling, Character Animation/Motion Capture, Visual Effects and Lighting)
Provides mentorship, coaching and management of other technical artists on the team
Designing and implementing efficient character/weapon/vehicle rigs for the project
Maintaining error-proof skinning data on character library
Tasks include: Skinning of characters, rigging of characters, technical animation and tool development

Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Art or a related field
7+ years experience in Computer Graphics
5+ years experience on AAA console game development
Computer Programming/Scripting experience (e.g. C++, MEL, Python, Etc...)
Strong knowledge of Maya 8+
Knowledge of MEL/Python scripting
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable:
Additional background in Film or TV VFX is a plus
Experience in UI design for artists/animators

Demo Reel Requirements:
Demonstrates a concise and practical character rig and tools
Show in-game or movie footage of that rig
