PURPOSE of POSITION:|
To serve as the National Tennis Center Adult and Recreational Junior Programs and Camp (ARJPC) Lead with the responsibility of instructing and training players and staff in tennis programs; advocating and growing the adult, junior recreation and camp market utilizing the principles and best practices of USTA player development and community tennis;
Coordinate, manage, and train others in the delivery of effective ARJPC including leagues to students of all ages and levels.
Plan, generate, and maintain appropriate documents and paperwork including agendas, lesson plans and progress reports.
Provide and coordinate professional development for staff.
Demonstrating on and off court, the playing techniques required by the USTA at the very highest levels of play.
Monitoring the Tennis Professionals and the ARJPC to ensure that all lessons and programs meet the playing and drilling lesson standards at the highest level.
Provide private instruction and clinics for adults and juniors.
Work with the programs office staff in hosting sectional, regional and national tennis tournaments;
Implementing and utilizing USTA player development systems and philosophies.
Excellent leadership qualities with the demonstrated ability to train, follow up and manage.
Demonstrated successful experience in organizing and managing ARJPC including Leagues, tournaments and Camps.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including technology I.E. TDM and Tennis link.
Experience leading & programming large groups including Cardio Tennis.
Completion of appropriate professional development coursework.
Certification by USPTA and/or PTR organizations is required.
College Degree preferred.
