Our Carrollton-based Tax Tools Development team is seeking a passionate, value driven user experience designer/developer to add to the existing engineering team. This team is developing a next generation tax application system, which Tax Analysts will use to capture and maintain all the information around US tax law compliance. Technologies used include a standard Microsoft .Net C# stack, along with a number of third party libraries and open source software. However we value technical aptitude, adaptive ingenuity and a proven record of performance over proficiency with a specific tool set.

The ability to quickly generate lots of ideas and turn those deemed worthy into design artifacts at every stage of the development process (sketches, mockups, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc.) in an Agile software, team oriented environment.
The ability to work in existing software owned by a team, to enhance the UX aspects of the design, while keeping your implementations testable, and quickly fixing any of your code that may break existing automated tests.
Share and mentor others in the principles of user centered and information design.
Able to work under pressure in both design and delivery situations.
Prepared for a highly collaborative team environment with significant technical discussion and open debate
Desire to work in a team environment serving multiple internal customer groups
E vidence of being innovative and self-motivated

E xperience with requirement artifacts including user stories, personas and story maps.
Must be able to clearly communicate concepts and functionality and be able to defend your designs.
3 or more years of commercial software development experience.
