A UX engineer working on the Advanced Software Innovation team will be responsible for designing a best in class experience for users of our rapid prototype solutions with an exciting and professional polish. The design collateral delivered to the development team must compliment the design and help accelerate the development of the overall solution.
Design and improve the overall usability of the rapid prototypes developed by the ASI team.
Responsible for reducing excessive features which miss the needs of the user.
Incorporating business and marketing goals while catering to the user.
Own software user interface design and theme consistency.
Work directly with customers to define scope and value for new developments.
Development of documented system flows and navigation maps clearly defining the application layout.
Designing Prototypes/Wireframes that enable and accelerate the development team.
Defining software user personas and user motivations.
Usability Audits/ Site Audits.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or a high school level diploma with at least 10 yrs. of experience in web design.
A minimum of least 5 years of experience designing and developing user interfaces.
Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA.
Must be willing to travel.

Masters degree /PHD in Computer Science .
Experience in a agile environment.
Experience in user interaction design in the energy domain.
Effective team building and problem solving abilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
Experience working with remote locations is preferred.
