Job Description:
This position is responsible for the support of the system administration on various MS Windows environments. Supported environments include Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint, as well as a sizable number of both physical and virtual application servers. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation, which entails responding to after-hour trouble calls from IT Operations Technicians and reporting to work, if necessary. A pager will be provided for this service. Responsibilities include: *
  • Systems compliance, security and audit management responsibilities *
  • Draft written procedures that adhere to corporate internal policy and NERC CIP requirements as required *
  • Incident response for critical cyber asset and non-critical cyber assets *
  • Preparation (system and documentation) for and participation in Internal Audit department audits *
  • Preparation for (system and documentation) and participation in NERC CIP audits *
  • Perform Windows administrative tasks as necessary including the deployment of systems and application solutions *
  • Administration of the Patch Management solution and program for Windows Server environments *
  • Assist in the analysis and resolution of system and application problems *
  • Understand and follow IT policies and procedures and promote adherence to the same *
  • Work with other System Administrators to ensure that all systems maintain compliance with corporate logical access and configuration management policies *
  • Assist with development of Request for Proposals and evaluation of responses *
  • Assist with development of standards and procedures for specifying and maintaining servers, storage, and special purpose work stations *
  • Ensure systems meet the requirements of configuration procedures
Additional responsibilities for the Senior-level position include: *
  • Identify problems and develop plans for resolution *
  • Specify, obtain quotes, and order hardware and software *
  • Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure effective and efficient changes to the IT infrastructure *
  • Assist with root-cause analysis *
  • Assist with development of Request for Proposals and evaluation of responses *
  • Assist with development of standards and procedures for specifying and maintaining servers, storage, and special purpose work stations

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Security and Risk Management or equivalent education and experience
Required certifications:
One or more Microsoft Windows Administration certifications.
One or more IT Security, Audit or Risk certifications from ISACA, IIA, ISC2 or GIAC.
Excellent technical, written and communication skills and the ability to team extremely well
Solution (Technical) implementation experience

Desired qualities include: *
  • 7 – 10 or more years of relevant System Administrator experience to include having managed and maintained Windows platforms in heavily compliant, auditable and security centric environments *
  • Experience with Active Directory and Exchange Server administration *
  • Experience with Microsoft Clustering *
  • 7 x 24 on-call duties, including carrying a pager and periodically working weekends as needed
