Western & Southern Financial Group has an immediate opportunity for a Leader, Digital Media Strategy.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Directs the new media/digital marketing strategy for the Enterprise; responsible for growing the adoption and effectiveness of new media throughout the Corporate Business Units (CBU). Leads the process to establish strategy, metrics, execution and ongoing monitoring of all social-media related initiatives for the Enterprise; building data sets that tie social media activity to attainment of business objectives; implementing content-focused strategies; leveraging new and emerging social networking sites and email marketing; generating search engine optimization results; monitoring social analytics and use of multimedia communications, including video and podcasts. Collaborates with CBU Marketing areas, eBusiness, Public Relations and I.S. to align and execute initiatives across the enterprise, which support CBU and corporate goals.

Position Requirements

Position Responsibilities:
•Defines a comprehensive social media/digital marketing strategy suitable for use across product lines, including governance, prioritization and business case development. Ties business objectives to social, mobile and other online engagement metrics to ensure portfolio of enterprise projects is managed consistently and meeting the business needs of the CBUs.
•Directs social, mobile, video and other digital solutions to meet business needs, sales plans/strategies and distributor needs. Promotes best practices between CBUs to ensure cost-effective implementations leveraging shared service platforms whenever feasible.
•Serves as a key member of the Enterprise Marketing Committee to assist CBUs in the pursuit of their marketing initiatives. Serves as conduit between marketing, eBusiness and I.S. areas to translate marketing ideas into user-centric, interactive, electronic tools and applications.
•Manages all activities and projects of the New Media Team, establishing goals, setting priorities and ensuring objectives of key initiatives are met and monitored for quality and effectiveness.
•Leads the day-to-day content development strategy in support of SEO using social, mobile, and related online tools.
•Provides insights into best practices, superior user experiences and technical specifications while remaining focused on creativity to help bring concepts to life. Suggests best practices for extending campaigns into electronic realms, including but not limited to web sites, videos, podcasts, email, mobile apps, online apps, and social media outlets.
•(no percentage - SOP) Works with eBusiness, Corporate and Business Unit Compliance, Creative Services and I.S. teams to ensure adherence to web look-and-feel, regulatory requirements and online infrastructure standards.
•Monitors the competitive environment, technological trends and digital opportunities to support strategy development within the scope of CBU and enterprise goals.
• Develops new media budget and manages projects within budgets to coordinate with appropriate technical, creative and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project implementation.
•Interfaces with I.S. resources to develop new applications including products, programs, tools and functionality.
•Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff for new media requirements. Provides direction to and development of all direct reports through daily coaching, the administration of the Performance Management Program, and the creation and implementation of development plans.
•Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers.
•Delivers superior customer service to all internal clients.
•Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Selection Criteria:
•Significant social media experience at a management level in a corporate environment.
•Proven ability to develop data-driven social/digital media programs.
•Proven concepting and communication skills, including writing, design, publishing, audiovisual and electronic communications.
•Strong, effective and results-oriented management experience.
•Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
•Must have a strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels of the Enterprise and with members of the public.
•Ability to work with all levels of the Enterprise, including Home Office, Field and Subsidiaries.
•Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in critical situations.
•Demonstrates tact and diplomacy in difficult situations.
•Analyzes situations effectively and responds appropriately.
•Serve on Company and inter-department committees.
Educational Requirements:
•An undergraduate degree with a concentration in communications, advertising, related fields or equivalent job experience. MBA with concentration in consumer marketing preferred.
Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:
•Strong working knowledge of PCs and understanding of computer design and software.
Certifications & licenses (i.e. Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
•None required.
Position Demands:
•Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
