Chevron's Information Technology Company (ITC) is seeking an IT Lean Sigma / Process Improvement Team Lead to drive organizational change and raise the level of process improvement maturity by overseeing the deployment of the IT Function Lean Sigma program. The successful candidate will create the IT Function Lean Sigma program vision (in alignment with the overall Corporate Lean Sigma program), execute on / support program objectives and deliver results through a team of skilled professionals, and create a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency through collaborative partnership with the IT Function Lean Advisor network. This position will be located in Houston, TX and will report to the Usability and Lean Sigma Manager in the Services & Process Management organization in PAD.

    Position Details:
    RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Facilitate the deployment of the IT Lean Sigma program to the IT Function:
  • Continue to evolve the IT Function Lean Sigma vision and deployment shaping curve
  • Develop scorecards and metrics in support of program objectives; ensure targets are met
  • Provide regular program updates to CIO Leadership Team
  • Lead and partner with IT Business Unit Advisors and IT leadership to create a continuous improvement culture in the IT Function by:
  • Building organizational capability and providing resources to mentor green belts
  • Creating a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing, leveraging best practices, building maturity
  • Assess resource demand for projects and provide resources to support mentoring and supplier relationships
  • Oversee the ITC - Process, Applications, and Delivery (PAD) Lean Sigma program and Business Process Management (BPM) area
  • Supervise ITC - PAD Lean Sigma and process improvement team (10 - 15 resources located in Houston, TX and the San Francisco Bay Area).
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring
  • Establish clear expectations and performance standards

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10 years minimum IT experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in IT
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience in successfully deploying process improvement and major change programs
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships across cross-functional, dispersed teams
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Ability to create strong teams to deliver results and drive significant change in an organization
  • Ability to manage peer network by influence in a collaborative/advisory role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Lean Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience in the Energy sector a plus
