Manages all aspects of L&D program delivery, including calendar production and maintenance, Abtlearn Web site design and LMS management. Manages all aspects of classroom support and online program management. Assists in conversion of programs from ILT to online delivery. Plays key role in the implementation of new HRIS - learning management system and the migration of programs from legacy system to new.
  • Manages all aspects of the Learning Management System, including:
    • Entering courses onto system
    • Producing and distributing quarterly reports to DVPs
    • Updating system capabilities
    • Maximizing system functionality to host online learning programs
  • Participates/takes lead role in implementation of new HRIS/Learning Management System, including migration of legacy data to new system
  • Updates course overviews and posts to AbtLearn Web site
  • Manages the ongoing development and update of AbtLearn Quarterly Calendar
  • Works with PD team and internal and external instructors to plan & advertise quarterly deliveries
  • Works in partnership with Sr. L&D specialist to manage the distribution of quarterly newsletter
  • Creates emails to send to DVPs with standard or ad hoc reports
  • Responds to issues and problems out- of- the ordinary
  • Provides superior customer service- responding to employee questions/AbtLearn mailbox
  • Facilitates classroom set-up/working with IT, Office Services, meeting external facilitators before and after class, ordering food delivery as needed – requires a flexible schedule
  • Assists internal instructors with materials creation including organization and/or pdf’ng participant materials
  • Handles enrollments and attendance - follows up with participants who are late, fills classes from waitlist, charges business units for no-shows.
  • Distributes course evaluations/ sign in sheets and the processing of the same on the back end of class.
  • Executes special projects as assigned (researching courses, programs)
  • Supports roll-out of new online courses in LMS- following up with vendor about technical issues, responding to employee questions/problems, troubleshooting
  • Works with LMS vendor and internal stakeholders (IT, etc.) to resolve technical issues
  • Updates the quarterly calendar and LMS information

Skills Prerequisites:
  • Functional knowledge of Abt’s business & customers
  • Experience in competency-based development systems, assessment processes and learning technologies
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, basic instructional design, OD or human resources development
  • Deep experience with LMS (Plateau preferred) configuration, administration, migration
  • Successful LMS and/or system implementation/integration experience (Required)
  • Well-developed technical skills appropriate to LMS implementation and data migration
  • Strong change management skills and experience
  • Solid project management skills, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent technical skills including PPT, Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly in formal and informal written formats
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions and operate independently with respect to moderately complex issues and business requirements with a moderate degree of corporate exposure
  • Ability to thrive in a changing environment and deal with ambiguity
  • Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation
  • Ability to work closely with others as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in HRD, HRM, OD preferred
  • Knowledge of NGO, government consulting industry preferred
