The Learning Consultant is responsible for delivering blended learning solutions for assigned new hire and continuing education programs. The Learning Consultant provide on-going coaching and feedback to ensure learners have the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the requirements of their position as identified by their business unit.
Supports new hire and other learning programs for assigned client groups. Disseminates assigned content using multiple delivery methods (i.e. classroom, virtual classroom, blended learning). Demonstrates effective instructional techniques (i.e. demonstrates core presentation skills; utilizes open-ended questions; manages challenging participants; recognizes differences in student learning styles; effectively uses classroom presentation systems). Provides leadership and oversight of program participants in partnership with Business Supervisors and Managers. Schedules and coordinates required resources, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business support, and manages the implementation of the program. Evaluates learning solutions to ensure learners have necessary skills to perform job duties. Coaches learners before, during and after a learning event to promote continuous learning.
Learning Content Development and Maintenance
Contributes to curriculum development and maintenance. Identifies potential content updates based on classroom experience and participant feedback. Maintains relationships with the business (SMEs, associates) to provide and receive constructive feedback. Provides learning content changes to TIPS Content Specialists.
Builds the knowledge and expertise required to effectively deliver assigned programs. Observes business associates performing job functions related to learning content. Utilizes internal and external resources for support in delivering learning solutions.
Maximizes the TIPS Team engagement by participating and collaborating with other team members to achieve shared goals. Provides balanced feedback to peers, SMEs, and management and openly receives feedback from others. Increases skill and competency development opportunities that supplement overall business objectives.
Responsible for assessing associates’ performance during classes and sharing with Group Managers and Supervisors for performance management.
College Degree in a related field preferred
2 years experience in training and facilitation preferred
Previous experience in Financial Services industry preferred
Demonstrates strong consulting and influencing skills
Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
Knowledge of LMS for course/assignment completion monitoring and reporting purposed
Ability to manage a classroom and virtual learning settings
College degree, or Associate degree and 2 years related work experience, or High school diploma/equivalent and 3 years related work experience
Demonstrated strong facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly with limited direct supervision
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
Ability to manage a classroom setting
