Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position (1) ensures the academic services to learning disabled students, (2) provides alternative techniques and learning strategies to enable learning-disabled students to accommodate their disabilities, and (3) provides remediation tutoring as requested.
Prefer applicants with: (1) a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities, (2) Florida Certification in Learning Disabilities, and (3) higher education experience working in Disability Services.

Key job responsibilities for the position include: (1) reviewing learning disability documentation to identify appropriate accommodations for classes and (2) providing learning strategies and compensatory techniques to students. Collaborates with various Student Services departments on assigned projects (such as student retention).
