Champlain College seeks qualified individuals to migrate course materials from teh College's current Learnign Management System (Angel) to a new Learning Management System (Canvas). These individuals will work as part of a team, ensuring that the migrated courses provide access to the same content as the original courses while taking advantage of new features in the new LMS.
Migration specialists are responsible for:
Updating the layout and settings of items in the courses
Implementing content in Canvas
Ensuring quality control for migrated courses
Working with others to ensure that the migrated courses meet defined requirements
Maintaining careful documentationa nd notes throughout the process
These are temporary part-time positions up to 30 hours per week for up to one year. Some flexibility the schedulgina nd number of weekly hours is possible.
The finalists will have a technical background and experience with web design or content management systems. Basic HTML skills are required. This position requires careful attention to detail; and excellent file management, documentation, editing, collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to effectively complete tasks and projects on time is also required. Experience using an LMS platform in higher education is preferred. Expertise with multimedia editing tools and experience creating accessible and usable web pages preferred. A minimum of 1 to 5 years’ experience working with content management systems and technical projects is required.
