Reporting Relationships:

The Learning Solutions Manager reports into the VP of Business Development. The VP of Business Development reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

The Learning Solutions Manager is the primary academic services resource for the field sales force. The Learning Solutions Manager is responsible for actively driving and managing the academic services evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key advisor and product advocate for the Academic Services team of Deltak. The Learning Solutions Manager must be highly knowledgeable of the Online learning market, theories and techniques for the development and delivery of Online and Hybrid courses, and be able to articulate the instructional design process and technology to both faculty and administrators. Must be able to understand faculty concerns and effectively convey how Deltak’s process and services can support them in their efforts. It is imperative the ideal candidate be capable of quickly establishing credibility with faculty and administrators throughout the sales process. In addition, the Learning Solutions Manager will be required to bring insights to the Academic Services team based on market research and feedback from prospective partners. This position will also require a willingness to engage in new product definition and process refinement that goes beyond the sales solution support.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product/service demonstrations
  • Responsible for attending and representing the product and services to prospects and at events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Able to convey customer requirements to the Academic Services team
  • Ability to travel 75%

Position Requirements:

Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in supporting the partner sales process and knowledge of learning technologies. Experience building and delivering compelling presentations and leading presentations with a wide range of audiences. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally, both written and orally. Must have demonstrated experience in identifying a customer’s needs/concerns and aligning a solution to match those requirements. Must be prepared for travel.
  • 5-7+ years relevant experience in a distance learning role in an academic setting or prior experience representing learning technology or services to the higher education market
  • Experience and familiarity with higher education is a requirement
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with faculty in the design and development of Online and hybrid courses
  • Master’s degree is required, preferably in instructional technology or related field; Doctoral degree is a plus
