A&M is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join its growing team. This position will assist the Learning & Development Manager with aspects of planning, designing, organizing, monitoring and execution of training initiatives and will be responsible for all administrative duties, including:
  • Provide curriculum development support by division or job function
  • Design and develop learning solutions of all types (classroom, online, blended, etc)
  • Develop and deploy a training needs analysis
  • Facilitation of in-person/virtual workshops
  • Training vendor selection and delivery
  • Coordinate and provide all administrative support for internal and external training programs
  • Main point of contact for administration of any instructor lead courses
  • Event planning support for training related events
  • Update and maintain the Training and Performance Management websites and materials
  • Track participation and measures of success for the training programs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant Training & Development/Talent Management Experience
  • Ability to run a training needs analysis and report on metrics and data
  • Experience in instructional design and facilitation of in-person/web-based training workshops with a keen understanding of adult learning theory
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A basic understanding in evaluating training intervention using Kirkpatrick’s 4 Levels of Evaluation is preferred
  • Ability to create surveys (i.e. SurveyMonkey), aggregate data and pull themes and trends
  • Ability work with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Excellent project management, administrative and organizational skills while multitasking various initiatives with flawless execution
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Skilled at SharePoint, as well as virtual learning platforms such as WebEx
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations with hotels/facilities
  • Familiar with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit management
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility/openness to change
  • Proven track record in participating in and executing strategic Human Resources initiatives
  • Business success navigating complex matrix environment
  • Influencing and consultative skills
  • Perform with a sense of urgency without compromising excellence or results
  • Quick learner with enthusiasm to grow and advance within a corporate learning function
  • Prior experience in performance management/employee reviews a plus
