The Training Specialist is responsible for providing the development and implementation of training modules, course material and related curriculum in the areas of leadership development, basic skill acquisition and compliance. This position will also work professionally and collaboratively with subject matter experts and management in support of new program development and training initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs
  • Confers with subject matter experts and key stakeholders and conducts surveys to identify training needs based on processes, changes, and other factors
  • Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
  • Directs, teaches and coaches Human Resources Coordinator
  • Identifies and implements methods to electronically schedule, disseminate and track organizational training
  • Manages various company training programs and projects
  • Measures the effectiveness of training programs; utilizes data to revise and enhance current and future projects
  • Plans, develops, and provides training development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning, demonstrations, on-the-job training and workshops

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate training results through metrics
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed to conduct training sessions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a Learning Management System and using survey applications (SurveyMonkey, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development which should include instructional design experience, proven proficiency with adult learning models, and experience in the facilitation of professional training and development programs
  • Minimum of 1 year of project management/leadership experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with consulting, influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to design, implement and report evaluation of instruction, learning, transfer of learning and program effectiveness
  • Proven ability to incorporate experiential learning activities into training and facilitating in order to meet the needs and culture of the audience
  • Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects and work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
